Portfolio Management

SGTI’s Project Portfolio Management services help establish the proper mix of projects for initiation and execution, which may include guiding the organization through the difficult process of strategic project realignment, selecting which projects to accelerate, defer, or eliminate, and how to most effectively realign critical and costly project resources. Program Management Office (PMO)

SGTI’s PMO services help ensure that the organization have the most effective PMO governance model, to drive the project’s success and achieve best business results. Project Management

SGTI’s Project Management services focus on project effectiveness and efficiency. Our project management oversight capabilities provide a trusted, independent, and objective advisor to monitor project progress, and recommend best practices and ongoing governance to ensure project success. Our Project Maturity Modeling and Project Failure Point Analysis capability, including Quick Start and Quick Scan, provide a framework to quickly assess and improve project management competency and rapidly realize cost savings and efficiency gains. This is achieved through:

  • Team Control Dynamics: This process allows our project manager (and onsite consultants) to clearly define project roles and responsibilities, take ownership of critical pieces of the project management process, and take accountability for their own area of expertise. Our Project Managers also understand the culture of a successful project. They are adept at bringing control to the initiative by assimilating quickly to our client environments and controlling team member dynamics. We welcome your team’s participation in this process.
  • Phased Reviews: After each phase of the project, Our Project Managers and along with client’s staff take one day from the schedule for a Project Phase Review. The review process offers insight into what went during the previous phase, and what can be improved moving forward. This process is part of the Monitoring Process in the next section.
  • Daily Monitoring Checkpoints: After each day’s work, SGTI’s Project Managers and a few members of the client’s team will quickly review the status of activities that went during the day’s session, and what can be improved moving forward. These brief sessions are critical to the success of the Project. They offer an opportunity for sharing technical and non-technical practices and checkpoints. Since not all projects are the same, our Project Managers will work with the organizations team to determine if weekly, or bi-weekly checkpoints are more appropriate, given the project scope.
  • Empowerment: SGTI believes in empowering individual consultants in their areas of expertise, as well as empowering client teams in our methodologies and processes. Team members, consultants and clients are treated as equals. SGTI’s Project Managers recognize the goal is to involve the client team in all aspects of project activity.   • Project Management Tools: SGTI’s consultants are familiar with a wide array of the leading Project Management tools available today. At any point during projects, clients can obtain an up-to-date ‘executive dashboard’ of which consultants and team members are working on various sections or get an overview of the entire project.
